Sharlene McHolm
Sharlene is a practiademic. Her goal is to utilize theory and praxis in order to enhance the leadership within the public education system. As a school principal, Sharlene focuses on the impacts of diversity in the classroom. This can be how educators of varying intersectionalities enrich inclusive classrooms or how learning differences require thoughtful discourse around classroom practices. While ever increasing numbers of refugees in her schools stretch resources, Sharlene endeavours to provide additional analysis of cultural implications for the classroom transition. Her research interests reflect a desire to understand and support those who are most vulnerable within the current educational system; staff, students and families.
